Who we are
We are an international initiative connecting people, experts, and supporters who care about the protection of tropical rainforests, climate, and the future of life on Earth.
Adopt a treeConnecting people to protect the green lungs of the world
World’s Green Lungs is a non-profit organization connecting citizens, experts, and supporters from various countries without distinction of nationality, religion, or political views.
Our goal is to protect tropical rainforests as one of the most important sources of oxygen, biodiversity, and climate stability of the planet.
We believe that protecting nature is not a remote topic meant only for scientists. Every person can help with a concrete step.
Why do we do it?
Tropical rainforests are the lungs of the planet. They produce oxygen, retain water, cool the climate, and protect millions of species of plants and animals.
Their destruction means the loss of the natural balance, that we and future generations need.
International cooperation
We connect people, organizations, and communities across continents. We share experience, knowledge, and support for long-term rainforest protection.
Respect for nature and people
Nature protection is only possible with respect for local communities, their culture, and their needs.
Real impacts
We support projects with real results: landscape restoration, tree planting, agroforestry, and protection of primary forests.
From an idea to a new stage
World Green Lungs was born from a vision to protect the tropical rainforests of Africa, particularly in the eastern Congo.
After several years of active work, the project’s activities were temporarily suspended, but the idea of protecting the world’s green lungs remained alive.
Today, the project returns stronger, more experienced and with a clearer goal: to connect nature protection with practical help for people.
Our intention is to support landscape restoration, primary forest protection, sustainable agriculture, and education.
Why tropical rainforests?
Tropical rainforests are among the planet’s most important ecosystems. They produce oxygen, store carbon, retain water and stabilize the climate of the entire Earth.
In many parts of Africa, however, they are disappearing due to poverty, pressure on agricultural land, and forest burning.
Therefore, we support solutions that connect nature protection with the practical needs of local communities.
Practical help instead of empty words
Forest protection
We support the protection of primary rainforests and the fight against their destruction.
Landscape restoration
Tree planting helps restore soil and retain water.
Community support
We cooperate with local communities on long-term sustainable solutions.
Agroforestry
We support farming that protects the forest and brings livelihoods.
Education
We explain the importance of forests, oxygen, climate, and natural resources.
Future
Every tree and every support helps create a better future.
Adopt a tree – a source of oxygen for all living things.
Help protect tropical rainforests, support landscape restoration and give future generations a chance to live on a healthier planet.
