We are an international initiative connecting people, experts and supporters who care about protecting tropical rainforests, the climate and the future of life on Earth.
Connecting people to protect the world’s green lungs
World’s Green Lungs z.s. is a non-profit organization that connects citizens, experts and supporters from various countries regardless of political affiliation, nationality, religion, race or gender.
Our common goal is to protect tropical rainforests as one of the most important natural sources of oxygen, biodiversity and climatic stability of the planet.
We believe that nature conservation is not a distant topic meant only for scientists or institutions. Every person can play a concrete role. By adopting a tree, supporting sustainable projects or spreading information, we help create real change where forest protection is needed most.

We help protect tropical rainforests, restore landscapes and support management models that allow local communities to live with dignity without the need for further burning and destruction of original forests.

Why We Focus on Tropical Rainforests
Tropical rainforests are among the most valuable ecosystems on the planet. They are home to a vast number of plants, animals and microorganisms that together create the balance of life.
At the same time, they help retain water, cool the landscape, store carbon and support the natural oxygen cycle.
In many areas of Africa, however, rainforests are disappearing due to poverty, pressure on agricultural land and a lack of available alternatives.
That is why we support solutions that connect nature protection with the practical needs of people. Rainforest protection must make sense not only from the perspective of the planet, but also from the perspective of the families who live in that landscape.
How We Work
We search for practical ways to reduce rainforest destruction and offer local communities a more sustainable way of farming.
We focus on landscape restoration, tree planting, agroforestry, protection of native forests and education about the true value of ecosystem services.
Our work is built on cooperation. The project is open to individuals, companies, schools, institutions and people who want to help in a specific way.
